A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol

Synopsis: The miserly Scrooge says humbug to all Christmas cheer until his deceased partner, Jacob Marley, tells Scrooge he has lived wickedly and will be visited by three ghosts. The ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future show Scrooge the error of his ways.

The Argument: This piece holds a special place for many people and with this company especially. Scrooge fits in nicely with our other villains as well, but despite the rest of the season, the tradition must go on.

Tickets on sale beginning Nov 1, 2022

This Christmas broadcast was an annual tradition, first performed on Christmas Eve 1939, starring Lionel Barrymore as Scrooge and produced by Orson Welles. The LBSC is proud to continue the yearly tradition, bringing you the classic tale of charity, hope and redemption through the Christmas spirit.
