The Hound of the Baskervilles Radio Style

Dr. James Mortimer has come to Sherlock after the death of his friend, Sir Charles Baskerville, which has been ruled a heart attack. There were footprints of a gigantic hound next to the body and the face was twisted in horror. There is a legend of a hound that has haunted the Baskerville clan for generations. Though Holmes dismisses the curse as superstition, he does agree to meet the last surviving Baskerville, Sir Henry. Sir Henry also does not believe in superstitions and refuses to be daunted in taking over the manor.

Watson joins Sir Henry at Baskerville manor and receives several scares, including news of an escaped murderer. He eventually finds Holmes has been hiding in the moors and has cracked the case.

Holmes explains that a nearby resident by the name of Mr. Stapleton is actually a long lost Baskerville and a criminal as well. Stapleton has been training a large hound to scare his uncle Charles to death, unaware of his cousin Henry, who he then tried to kill. Watson can save Sir Henry, kill the beast, and in pursuing Stapleton, revealed to be Roger Baskerville Jr., the villain drowns in the hazardous moors.
